Latest news…

5 Jun

Hi there, thought I would make a general posting on a few things that have happened this week.

Firstly this weeks special….how exciting are the specials? I have had a few orders and will be placing them on Monday night so if you would like to save on postage send me your order by Monday night 5pm to lana@harveysautotraders.com.au

Secondly, we had our first big shot class on Friday night and boy was it great. We made four items and we all learnt something new. Sharon demonstrated two projects and I demonstrated two projects so we both got to create and learn something new on the night as well. Fun was had by all. I will post the photos tomorrow.

And last of all, it is my birthday today and I got some beautiful cards and gifts. My family bought me a new camera so I will be playing with it tomorrow and posting (hopefully some really good photos) of my birthday cards. Thanks to all my friens for my birthday wishes. I went to see ‘Sex and the City’ this afternoon with my friend Sheena in Gold Class (the only way to see those special movies). I just love the friendship those four girls have in the movie and the clothes, omg..just beautiful.

I am back from Convention….

24 May

and what a great time it was, even without much of a voice and plenty of coughing. We had two days of information overload, I don’t know where to begin so I will show you some photos. I have learnt alot and can’t wait to show you some of my new stamp sets.

One week to go…..

14 May

until Stampin’ Up! Convention, getting a little excited. Better still it is in Sydney so no hoping on planes or long car trips but I am not giving up staying in the city with my bestest buddy Sharon. It’s a once a year trip I look forward to; not only for great accommodation with breakfast each morning but not having to organise lunch and dinner for two days but also for the great feeling of inspiration and motivation you get from other demonstrators and the employees of Stampin Up which come to Convention from the States. I also just love listening to Shelli (Stampin’ Up founder) give her speech; you get that warm and fuzzy feeling….lol. I finished making my swaps (handmade item using Stampin Up products you make and swap with someone who has also made a handmade item using Stampin’ Up products) this morning. I am determined this year to swap, this is my third year at convention and have never really swapped. Not that I didn’t want to, always had some, but just never felt confident enough to go and ask a complete stranger to swap with me so one of my many new goals. I am on a new journey starting this month (will get into that another time) but this is a big step for me so I will let you know how I go…..I am now off to finish getting organised for Stamp Club tonight….have a nice night xo….sorry no sneak peeks of swaps until after convention, will have lots of photos for you.

Thank you…

I have been given this beautiful award twice, thank you very much Sharon Davis and Teneale Williams I am honoured.

Now I must pass this award on to another 10 beautiful blogs and tell you 10 things about myself. Okay, these are blogs that I look at every week for inspiration. I actually only know a couple of these ladies and believe I am very lucky that have have found all of them along my creative journey whilst looking for inspiration and they continue to inspire me.

1. Sharon Davis 2. Teneale Williams 3. Marelle Taylor   4. Kim Gavarra  5. Kirsty Brown  6. Fiona Platzer 7. Sharlene Meyer 8.  Jayne Mercer   9.  Petronela Hardy   10. Liz Collett

Now that part I have been dreading, as I am not that good with words; 1o things about myself.

1. I am married to my wonderful husband David and we have two children; Britney (10) and Jared (8) and have two four legged children; Rusty and Casper 2. I run my kids school canteen with my friend Sheena 3. I love my iphone and can’t wait for the ipad to hit our shores 4. I am an organised neat freak; alot of my friends think my name is perfect….spell it backwards..lol 5. My worst trait is that I am not very tolerable…and see things either black or white 6. Am totally a control freak 7. I don’t sleep much, my mind is always ticking over thinking about something 8. Lack confidence and am totally hopeless in talking in front of people 9. Don’t mind playing in the kitchen…have to be in the mood 10. Love my stampin cottage and am very grateful for having it.

First Place at the Camden Show with “Wild About You”

23 Mar

My friend I run the school canteen with was entering so many things into the Camden Show, she inspired me and got me motivated to have a go. I looked up the categories and found cardmaking, I entered the card below and won first place; I was very excited as I had never entered anything in before. Sharon and myself thought we would put out a challenge for next years show, we would like to get as many people to enter and make that section really big. If you are a customer of ours and enter a card into the show and get 1st, 2nd or 3rd place we will give you a free stamp set, now that has to be motivating. We will put a reminder out closer to the time.

My new ribbon holder

5 Mar

Check it out….how good is this ribbon holder. I am very lucky girl, it was a gift from a great friend of mine. I got it today and put it up in my ‘Stamping Cottage’ straight away. It isn’t a Stampin Up product but all the ribbon in it is. A very colourful addition to the wall in my ‘Stamping Cottage’

Haven’t gone missing….

24 Feb

I have not disappeared, just been really busy. I have alot to show you and will do that tomorrow night. I have just finished sorting out next months stamp club projects and it’s now 11.10pm and I have to get to bed, Thursday is always a big day at work. Cheers :)

I am loving the holidays…

13 Jan

Only two weeks left though :(

I hope everyone had a nice christmas and there new year has started of well. Sorry for not posting of late but we have moved into our old but new house after 18 months of renovating. It is all but finished except for the kitchen, can’t complain to much as it is a million times better than what we have been living in and it has air conditioning :)

We went the the Central Coast on the weekend to visit family, we left nice and early to avoid and traffic and this is what we got stuck in…..there was an accident about 10km ahead which bought traffic to a stand still and closed the road heading north for about 2 hours, it was very hot and not fun. Thank goodness for Nintendo DS….lol
