Beautiful Butterflies

8 Mar

As you can see from my previous post we used the beautiful butterflies Bigz Die in my last class, so when I gave my lovely stamp club there orders I put in there a nice little surprise. I made a magnet using the ‘On Board sheets’ (p. 155), my fav’ paper from the Sale-a-bration catty and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die (p.159). They were so easy to make, very useful (mine is on our fridge holding many school notes) and the best thing of all is they make great gifts.

Guest book

20 Oct

When I make invitations for friends and customers I like to put together a guest book that matches the invitations that get sent out. Recently I made a 40th Birthday invitation and this is the book I have made for them. I picked up the sketch pad and nice pen from Smiggle and decorated the front cover and the inside front page and then stamped at the bottom corner of each page (to keep with the cocktail theme). Each guest can leave a comment and then Tim and Jodie can add photos later on.

Beautiful owl gift

27 Sep

At my last stamp class I was given this beautiful hand knitted owl by my dear stamping friend (big wave to Manuela). With the owl punch regularly popping up in my classes and the owl also appears throughout the catalogue it was a very nice gift and sits in my stamping lounge room very nicely. Thanks Manuela xx

Coaster class

1 Jul

Last Friday night I had stamp club with nine lovely ladies and they had the joy of making coasters. In our Stampin’ Up newsletter last month on the front cover were coaster made using the Big Shot, I was very impressed with them and wanted to share my excitement. Unfortunately at the moment Stampin Up don’t sell cork sheets however I found some and bought all the shop had at the time so that I could run a class as I really wanted to share how easy it is to create such a simple but beautiful gift (one you can give away or make for yourself). The Pear Pizzaz ones below I made for my mum and the Greenhouse gala DSP ones I made for my home.

As everyones taste is different it was nice to see the variety (yes, I know I should have taken a photo. Thought about it then forgot about it just as quick). Each person got to make four each and I also showed them how quick and easy it was to make butterfly magnets with the scraps using the ‘Beautiful Butterflies’ Bigz dies. Sorry will add another post with the magnets.

Products used and order collated from bottom to top: Cork sheets, multipurporse adhesive sheets, Designer series paper, multipurpose adhesive sheets, window sheets and the Scallop circle die through the big shot.

Gift wallets

23 Dec

Our local movie cinemas does not have the credit card like gift cards they have the paper version, so had to make up a couple of these very easy gift wallets. I did not make up the concept my great upline and friend Sharon made these last year and I have just copied the design. I have used cardstock and designer series paper and just stamp a sentiment in the middle, made one female and one male….they are really easy. Well I am off now to finish making a few more gifts. If I don’t blog again before Christmas, have a great day whatever you are doing and most importantly stay safe. xoxo

Scrapbook frame birthday gift

23 Dec

It was my friends birthday on Tuesday and this is the gift I made her. Unfortunately I am in the habit of leaving things to the last minute at the moment, I knew I was going to make this for her birthday back in the middle of the year when I cut the article out of the paper however did not make until Tuesday. It is all done and I gave it to her when we went out for dinner on Wednesday night. I absolutely love the colour combinations. I have used the big shot, punches, ribbon, chip board, Designer series paper and card stock.

Desktop calendars

23 Dec

I have finished most of my Christmas cards (didn’t actually make any this year as the Mayor gave us 50 of Britneys winning card) however I did still make the desktop calendars I send off each year. I used alot of my scrap designer series paper that I have saved in a box, it came in handy as you don’t need to cut into fresh pieces if you have large enough scraps and ribbon (no stamping needed). I still have about 50 or so to make for Davids clients but I am afraid they will get them in the new year.

End of year stamp club

23 Dec

Well it seems like weeks ago our final stamp club was on for the year, however it was only last Friday. I have been busy creating many gifts, I will start off with showing you what we made at the end of year stamp club class, it was a big one as I only run one class in December as everyone is so busy. We decorated a couple of candles using the ‘Season of Joy’ stamp set, an oldie but a goodie and the sentiment was from the ‘Many merry messages’ stamp set, also an oldie but a goodie. You can use any stamp set to decorate a candle, you firstly stamp on tissue paper then use your heat gun to melt the image into the candle. Challenge is to have patience and not melt your candle so it is all dented and wax runs everywhere. The key to sucess is using baking paper on top of the image and heat through, gives a little extra protection and also something to hold onto. We decorated it up by putting into a card bag and tying ribbon around the top.
