My weekend…

Hi all, what a weekend! they just seem to fly. Took the kids to the movies on Saturday with friends to see ‘Up’ the kids had a great time together and us adults also had a great time drinking coffee and eating cake at Maccas afterwards. Sunday was a great day for gardening, so we got into it and had our machine man who lives up the road over to help us fill in a big hole. It was a pond that was here when we bought the house and we tried to fix it up by putting in Koi fish but the birds just ate them and then the pond turned into a big pit of algae and mozies and a huge troupe of frogs. So here is a picture of before the machine started and then when he finished. There are many sad ducks not having a pond anymore, I am sorry….

Getting nowhere fast…

How is your week, we are at hump day and boy am I feeling it. This album is staring at me and doesn’t seem to be growing, I have done another two pages and hope to complete two more tonight. Went to the movies last night (I know; I should of stayed at home and done more of the album) but it was the last showing of ‘My Sisters Keeper’. It was a sad movie but a nice one, the friends I went with had read the book and they said it didn’t end the same and thank goodness for that; I would of been a mess if I ended as to the book. Our school fete is getting closer, we made about 50 Christmas cards last Friday night; we were on a roll (sorry, didn’t take a photo. When I make up some more I will show you). Well have a good rest of the week:)

My gorgeous visitor…

Wednesday is my day at home and I try and dedicate it to creating. Yesterday whilst working on my 6×6 album this dog was barking; it go the better of me and I got up and looked out the kitchen window and there was our neighbours dog barking at our gate wanting to come in. I went out the front and called her in (as she had gotten out of her house and her owners weren’t home) so she stayed with me for the afternoon. She is so small compared to my dogs and has such lovely manners….just secretly I could of kept her…lol. The photo is of her sitting on my chair at my desk and she was quite happy just sitting on there whist I worked.

6″x6″ scrapbook pages

Well I am working my butt off at the moment making an album for my friends 50th. Being a males album it is a little harder the last couple I have made. Being full of flowers just wouldn’t be appropriate so once again the challenge is on. I have 30 days to complete it …no pressure at all…lol. I have so far completed 3 pages. The album is a surprise, so all those friends of his out there, please don’t tell him…Back off to work I go…take care and enjoy xo

Happy Fathers Day…

What great weather that was delivered for Fathers Day. We had a picnic at ‘Sublime point’ in Bulli overlooking the Wollongong coastline with our friends Kim and John and John’s father Ken who is 89, Nicole and Ryley and Norm and Debbie. David and I don’t have fathers so the day is quite simple hence the reason for spending it with friends. The kids had a great time playing soccer, cricket, football. Thanks John for cooking a great BBQ; always take better when someone else does the cooking.  Hope you all had a good day too.

Summer Love Rub ons

I have had a very busy week this week with the kids and creating. My kids caught the school bus the first time on Wednesday; not to my request (I look at it as controlled freedom); they loved it and I get an extra hour of an afternoon to get more done. My daughters dance studio is having a Trivia Night to raise money, so they need prize donations and of course no matter how busy I am I just can’t bring myself to buying anything. I have made a box frame using the ‘Summer Love Rub ons’ as I really enjoy making 3D projects. I plan to make some post it note holders with a covered pen and Christmas card packs; they are on my very long list. Still busy making fete items as well; nothing to show you for that at the moment as I spent Friday night making up a heap of the Christmas gift card holders which you have already seen. Will be back tomorrow or Monday to show you a couple of Journal books I have decorated. I am meant to be making an album for a friends 50th Birthday; but its for a male and I just can’t seem to get into it and it needs to be finished for the 10th October…..just so much to do….
