31/05/2009 at 7:34 pm | In Cards and 3D ideas | 1 CommentI love making birthday presents, they are much more personal and they are always something you can’t buy in a shop. I made this for my great friend Sharon, Happy Birthday Sharon for today! I just love how well it turned out, once I worked out the layout it was not that hard to build. When I have finished building I will run a class on making this box frame it will make a great Christmas present….as this is about the time I hope to be in my house, I really would love to be in earlier but not sure that I will be.

Products used: All Stampin’ Up! except the double mounted box frame.
Stamp set: A rose is a rose
Cardstock: Patterend from Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin’, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Marker: Old Olive
Emblissment: Half pearls from the Pretties Kit and Crystal effects on the white sections of the rose.
And this is the card I made, well actually not the exact one as I forgot to take a photo of Sharons but I made this one whilst making it, i just used a blingy middle flower. Unfortunately I didn’t make a matching card as I actually don’t own ‘A rose is a rose’ stamp set at the moment, it is on my wish list though. If you think you have seen a similar card before. you have, it is on page 144 of the current idea book and catalogue. If would like a catalogue you can get one for free when you book a workshop or you can buy one off me for $12.

Stamp set: Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Whisper White, Summer Sun, Cameo Carol
Ink: Bashful Blue
Emblissment: Flower Fusion using pumpkin pie and rose red, Rhinestone Brads – Circle Fire and 5/8″ Olive Olive Ribbon and daubers.

Last minute birthday card….and now a girly version…
23/05/2009 at 8:06 pm | In Cards and 3D ideas | 1 CommentAs organised as I try to be, I am still not organised enough. I have known for at least 3 weeks that Jared had a birthday party to go to today. I bought the gift this morning and made the card about an hour before I had to leave. I haven’t yet invested in any male orientated stamp sets but came up with this, ‘Wild about you’ which is always a good one when in doubt. It’s not an original idea I did case the concept from somewhere, but unsure where anyhow thanks for the inspiration. Off to make another birthday card but this time I am organised, it’s not until next week that I need this one…..lol…..goodnight

I have used all Stampin’ Up! products
Cardstock ‘Ballet Blue’, ‘Brilliant Blue’ and ‘Whisper White’.

When we got the ‘Trendy trees’ and ‘Circle Circus’ stamp sets in our lovely bag you get when you go to a Stampin’ Up! Convention I was not to keen on them but once I got to use them I really liked them, sometimes it is like judging a book by its cover, which is really easy to do. They are both very versatile stamp sets. The ‘Trendy trees’ tags in a bag are a great gift idea, if you would like to know how to make them contact me and we can organise a class at your place with a group of your friends. Cheers Lana

What a very talented friend I have. Sharon gave me this gorgeous gift in Canberra at 2009 Stampin Up! Convention. I used the book to write all my notes in. It is even more beautiful in real life.
Sharon has used the following to make these very pretty gifts: (Stampin Up products) On Board 5″x5″ Art Journal, A rose is a rose stamp set, Bella rose designer series paper and ribbon originals. The letter was made using chipboard and covering it.
I will be back a little later showing you some of the things we made at Convention.

03/05/2009 at 2:38 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment…..some very exciting news will appear soon.
I do have a little to tell you now though. I have just returned from Stampin Up! Convention 2009 which was in Canberra. Firstly, I went with my great friend Sharon and we had the best time and we learnt so so much, I can’t wait to share with you some of the amazing things we learnt. Secondly, Stampin Up’s catalogue will now stay current until September 2010 which is great news. When I have settled in from my trip, (kids very happy to see me especially the four legged ones) I will post some of the make and takes we made. If you would like to come to Convention 2010 in Sydney ask me how. Cheers xo
