50th Birthday Invites…

My best friend has asked me to make her 50th Birthday invitations. I have made three very different invites using Old Olive cardstock with the So Swirly wheel and Priceless stamp set. She is not sure whether she wants the 50 to be the main focus, so I have given the three to her to look at for a week to see which one she prefers. My favourite is the one on the left, but having 50 to make the one on the right is the easiest. I will let you know which one she picks. Let me know which one you like the best…….

Christmas Stamp-a-stack….

With only 19 weeks until Christmas I thought it may be a good idea to make a start on making Christmas cards. I am going to hold a ‘Stamp-a-stack’ class on Friday, 5th September at 7.30pm. You may be thinking what is a stamp-a-stack! It is great fun! I provide everything you need to create 6 cards, all pre cut and ready to stamp and assemble with matching envelopes. The cost is $20 which also includes tea/coffee and some delicious dessert. And because it is only a couple of days to Father’s Day we will even make a card for ‘Dad’. If you are interested in coming please email me at lana@harveysautos.com.au or phone me 0400454600 to confirm your seat and I will let you know the address.

A Quickie…

This is the quickest card I have ever made. Britney had a Birthday party on the weekend and I had to make a card quickly. I have used the Fun & Fast notes stamp set and coloured in the image using the markers. The patterned paper in the background makes the card not look so plain.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day.

I have got in early this year and made this for David for Fathers Day, I’m sure the kids will also make one. I have used the Loads of Love stamp set and watercoloured the image using watercolour paper, ink pads and the watercolour brush. So remember Fathers Day on September 7.

One of a kind…

These cards I have made using the ‘One of a kind’ stamp set from the mini catalogue, but I can’t take the credit for the design, I have cased this beautiful card from my dear friend Sharon. I made this card for a friend of mine and her favourite colour is red so I have used ‘Real Red’ and ‘Rose Red’. I watercoloured the large flower and used ‘crystal effects’ in the middle of the flower and cut them out. Now don’t panic and think that you have to cut all those little flowers out, the stamp set has a matching punch which is also in the mini catalogue ‘Boho Blossoms Punch’ so all you have to do is stamp the flowers and then use the punch. On the card down the bottom I used the ‘Spritzer’ to make the speckled background on the ‘whisper white’ before attaching the flowers. If you would like a copy of the ‘Spring mini catalogue’ please email me at lana@harveysautos.com.au and I will pop one in the post.
