28/07/2008 at 7:54 pm | In Classes | Leave a CommentI said I would post a picture of the Christening card to go with the gift I made, well guess what? I made a very nice card but forgot to take a photo and now the card went with the gift yesterday.
Also, posting a reminder that I still have places available for this Friday nights ‘Open night’. I know its cold and you probably couldn’t be bothered going out but think about the great time you could have creating those nice gifts/cards you haven’t got around to doing.

Open Night….

You may ask what is an open night, well you come to my place and you bring along with you any projects you are working on or any you are wanting to begin. I will have my stamp sets, ink pads and a variety of tools available for use. It will be at a cost of $10 and will include supper. I made this beautiful birthday card for one of my daughters friends, I just love personalising cards. I have used Lovely Lilac for the main background along with Barely Banana. The flowers were stamped on Watercolour paper using Stazon, coloured using Bold bright markers and the aqua painter and then cut out, the stem and leaves have been stamped onto whisper white cardstock and coloured with watercolour pencils. The name was stamped with Big Deal Alphabet stamp set using Lovely Lilac ink pad and then cut out. I have added dazzling diamonds to parts of the flowers to give them a bit of bling. I got my inspiration from a card on Splitcoast, it always gets my creative juices following. If you would love to learn the art of cardmarking come to one of my classes or organise a workshop. Christening Gift…

I have made this gift for a friend, she is having her son Christened in a couple of weeks, I was unsure what to buy her as she doesn’t need for much so I decided to make a gift. I have used the birth photo she sent me. The stamp set used is ‘Wild about you’, I have used a cuttlebug to give the background a bit of a lift. I have stamped ’Wild About You’ on Twill tape and dressed it up with Pewter Hodgepodge. The animals are stamped on Whisper White cardstock, the photo is backed on Very Vanilla cardstock and the background is Green Galore cardstock so as you can see I haven’t used much stock and it wasn’t had to make. Come back and visit soon and I will show you the card once I have made it.
